| My son is diabetic so he needs to be careful with candy. I don't want him to feel deprived on Halloween. Any ideas of fun things we can pass out to trick-or-treaters? Small toys or gift certificates are popular when you're looking for something to replace candy. Each year I try to come up with creative ideas for dressing up. This year I am really stumped. Can you help me out or let me know where to turn to for advice? Sometimes the best way to get ideas is not by going to a costume store like some people may think. Often times the most popular costumes are the 'up-to-the-minute disguises' that reflect what's current in the news. That's what's so great about our country; you can dress up like the President himself or a movie star in a current flick. Open the newspaper or a magazine. Become a soldier, a fire fighter or a dog walker (classifieds can contribute too). That should get the creative juices flowing.
